Nachhaltigkeit

Act in such a way that both the needs of those living today and the needs of those living in the future can be met

Find your own way

Sustainability is a multifaceted term defined by various concepts such as ESG, CSR or the Triple Bottom Line (People, Planet, Profit). However, companies should be careful not to get hung up on one of these definitions. After all, sustainability offers many (development) opportunities that companies should take advantage of. The fulfillment of reporting obligations, such as those of the CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive), is a possible first step in anchoring sustainability in the corporate strategy.

However, our understanding of sustainability goes beyond this step. We help you find a specific and powerful path for your company that is tailored to your individual needs and challenges.

Clear areas of action for a sustainable company

To create a true sustainability path, we need to focus on three important areas: urgent issues, legal obligations and our own path. Only through the skilful interplay of these focus areas can we achieve a sustainable future.

Comply with rules and regulations

Legal obligations There are numerous laws and regulations in Germany that are relevant to companies. Listing all of the legal provisions would go beyond the scope of this section.

However, there are some important laws that companies should be sure to follow. These include the CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) and the EU Taxonomy, which prescribe rules on the disclosure of sustainability information for companies. Also of great importance is the LkSG (Supply Chain Sourcing Obligations Act). Here, companies are held accountable to take responsibility for their supply chains and to commit to decent working conditions and environmental protection.

Knowledge of these laws and their implementation are essential for companies to be on the safe side legally and to fulfill their social responsibility.

CO2 reduction and other urgent issues

Urgent Topics The reduction of CO2 emissions is an urgent topic in the sustainability management of every company. The stakes are high, as it is far from certain that overall the necessary reductions will be achieved to limit the global temperature rise to 1.5 degrees: Every ton of CO2 reduced counts.

It should also be checked whether there is any further urgent need for action in the company in the area of sustainability, for example with regard to environmental protection, personnel issues or commitment to society. If this is the case, these topics must also be addressed now.

Discover your sustainable transformation: unleash the creativity and innovative thinking in your company.

The path to sustainable transformation can be an exciting process that unleashes creativity, innovative thinking and a great deal of commitment. If well thought out, sustainability becomes a no-brainer rather than an agonizing journey.

As business consultants, we understand how to awaken the power and ingenuity that resides within your company and harness it for the benefit of your current and future business, as well as for society and the planet.

Together, we will find our own path that meets your individual needs and values and improves your business performance.

From Greenwashing to Insight-Driven

It is the impact that makes the difference. How sustainable a company is can be determined by how consistently and honestly it strives for real, sustainable impact. Green- or bluewashing is no longer up to date. Sustainability management based purely on stakeholders misses out on a great number of opportunities.

With a change of perspective, which is focused on achieving an actual impact and dissolving from old patterns of behaving and thinking (“Insight-Driven”), sustainability becomes an entrepreneurial success story.

By striving to move directly to an “Insight-Driven” state, companies save time and money and skip ineffective intermediate stages.
